The Search for Tigers Memorabilia

We've put together an archive of Tigers and C.N.R.A. memorabilia from the 1980's with jersey's, jackets and more. The archive has just kicked off and is a little sparse, so we're looking for your contributions.

We're not only looking for Tigers memorabilia, articles from any team that played in the C.N.R.A. would gladly be accepted for the archive including jersey's, uniforms and equipment.

Reward for info on Ian Gillespie!

He played right field for the Tigers in 1981. That was the year the Tigers won their one and only championship. Always an odd fellow, Ian was one of a kind. Everyone has at least a few stories to tell about Ian. We all know his history, so we will not get into that here. We just want to know more about the guy and where he is now.

The always quirky Tigers owner, Ronald K Ronald wants to know more on the fate of our most famous right feilder. Ron has opened his wallet and is offering a $50.00 bounty to anyone who can provide current info and photos of Ian. Criteria for the bounty is we need current information about Ian's status, including current location and at least two current photos. Finding his Facebook page would solve everything!

All bounty claims must be approved by Ron and the money will be given to first person who provides the info and photos as listed above.

Chester Field is Still a Ball Park

CN sold Tiger stadium to land developers in the late 1980's and we moved across the tracks to the new Chester Field. Soon after, Tiger Stadium was demolished and the land around it was turned in to condos and townhouses.

The new Chester Field was a great ball park but lacked the personality of Tiger Stadium. The Tigers folded a year after the move but other teams including the A's and Outlaws continued playing there for years after. In 1993, the CNRA moved on and CN sold Chester Field to the city of St-Lambert for one dollar. It is still used by St-Lambert as a softball park and is now called St-Charles Park.

Old Things Never Die!

This website has been around for years but we decided to give it an upgrade and move it a new home. The old provider was riddled with advertisements and pop-ups and was not very user friendly.

This new website has many new features and photos, some which we found in the Tiger archives in Ron's basement. Even some of the photos you have seen before have been rescanned to a better resolution.

Yep, The team folded years ago. Tiger Stadium is long gone and now a condo development. Some players are still around, others have moved on, some have gone to a better place. The team spirit will live on forever in cyberspace with this website. All of this in memory of the good old days at Tiger Stadium and Chester Field. We call it "The Ole Rifter online."
